Feeding Guide: How Many Cups of Pedigree for a 20kg Dog?

by ahmed shah nabil 30 Dec 2025
A hand using a standard measuring cup to precisely measure dry kibble into a bowl for correct dog food measurement.

"Bhaiya, I just fill the bowl."

This is the most dangerous sentence a dog owner can say. Overfeeding Pedigree leads to obesity, joint pain, and diabetes.

To save money and your dog's health, follow this dog food measurement guide.

The "Cup" Rule

Standard measuring cup = approx 100-110g of Pedigree kibble.

  • Toy Breed (Spitz/Pug) - 5-10kg:

    • 1 to 2 cups per day.

  • Medium Breed (Deshi/Spaniel) - 10-20kg:

    • 2 to 3.5 cups per day.

  • Large Breed (GSD/Lab) - 20-40kg:

    • 3.5 to 6 cups per day.

Adjust for Activity

  • Apartment Dog: Feed the lower amount.

  • Roof/Guard Dog: Feed the higher amount.

Summary

Use a cup. Don't guess. Your dog will look fitter, and your bag of food will last longer.
