Ear Mites in Cats: Symptoms and Home Treatment
Have you noticed your cat shaking their head or scratching their ears furiously? If you look inside, do you see dark, crumbly stuff that looks like coffee grounds?
That isn't dirt. It’s Ear Mites.
These microscopic parasites are extremely common in Dhaka, especially in adopted stray cats.
Symptoms

Can I Just Clean It?
Cleaning helps, but it won't cure it. You need a two-step process:

Clean: Use a specialized cat ear cleaner liquid to dissolve the wax and debris. Gently wipe it out with a cotton ball (never a Q-tip!).

Treat: Apply mite-killing ear drops (available at pet stores or vets) once the ear is clean.
Important Note
Ear mites are highly contagious. If one pet has them, treat ALL pets in the house.
